Ryan introduced 3D1go to the public in Taipei, Taiwan, in 2019, following his move from Singapore. While 3D1go emerged as the brand's face, the underlying registered company was named Meitefusi. In a strategic move, the registered company's name later transitioned to DigiSomni. However, for our clients and the broader community, 3D1go continues to be the recognizable and primary brand representation.

The roots of DigiSomni Taipei are anchored in a partnership between Ryan and Michael. Michael, a team lead from the open-source metaverse platform Vircadia, had previously set up DigiSomni Miami in Florida. They first crossed paths in the High Fidelity community between 2017 and 2018, laying the groundwork for future collaborations.

As High Fidelity recalibrated its direction and open-sourced its software, Michael embraced the challenge, steering it onwards as a community-centric initiative. United by this vision, Michael eventually relocated to Taiwan, fortifying their shared ambition to scale the company.

As their client base expanded, the DigiSomni team grew in tandem. Their collaborations spanned local governments in Taiwan and Japan and extended to a university in the UK. Amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, their platform emerged as a cornerstone for virtual events, facilitating notable government-backed startup events that brought in teams from Taiwan, Japan, India, and the US.

While Michael has transitioned to delve into AI under a new brand name, Ryan remains resolute in his mission to elevate the metaverse platform, integrating blockchain technology where it enhances the experience.
